Weight-related problems have been shown to cause emotional pain.

I've been coaching clients for over a decade, and over that period, I have seen the struggles people go through in life because of weight-related problems. Being overweight is a sensitive matter that affects many a people. A lot suffer in silence.


The frustrations of not being able to fit into clothes, or go to certain places, or be with certain people. The struggle of not being able to complete certain tasks, or keep up with friends or kids. The deep desire to be able to do something yet constantly battling lack of energy and confidence. I have come to understand at a deeper level the emotional damage, the pain, the hurt.

In an effort to "fix" the problems, I have seen many fall into the trap of feeling desperate, and end up taking measures which usually lead to more frustration. Crash diets, pill popping, over-exercising..... none of this works.


The real solution is the hardest to accept. For many, the need for instant results keeps them from breaking out of the complex scenario of not knowing what to do or where to begin to make lasting change. Instant gratification has no place in lasting change.

I have good news though - no situation is permanent if you truly desire change. ​Change is possible, but you have to ask yourself this question: WHY DO I WANT TO CHANGE? Any excuse can keep you right where you are today. Your WHY has to be stronger than your EXCUSES. Your DESIRE for change has to be stronger than your DOUBTS.

You need to convince yourself that where consistency, adherence and patience are demanded, you will not let up. Where you stumble and fall, you will get back up and keep going forward. A huge part of change demands mental strength more than physical strength. You need to have the right mindset and take the responsibility to OWN YOUR TRANSFORMATION.
